I want to share with you a great idea for the holidays! One of our local soup kitchens has asked the community to fill backpacks for the homeless men, women and children who populate our area, and I think this is a terrific idea to give back. They are suggesting these items to fill the backpacks: warm hats, gloves, scarves, socks, sweaters, toiletries, snacks, toys for kids. Maybe a book, crossword puzzles, pens, flashlights ------ the possiblilities are endless!! Your blessed kindness will benefit our less fortunate friends and your dollars spent will be to good use. After all, do we really need another Starbucks coffee this week? laura
